Magnitude 3.6 earthquake strikes Central Valley

A small earthquake has hit the Central Valley.

A preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.6-magnitude quake struck at 5:27 p.m. Sunday, 11 miles north of the town of Ridgecrest.

A police dispatcher says there are no reports of injuries or damage.

Ridgecrest is about 100 miles east of Bakersfield. Read more
