Drought: the Long, Slow Natural Hazard (Part 1)

Posted by: RSS In: Usgs.gov

In the first part of our two-part series on drought, we sit down with USGS scientists Julio Betancourt and Greg McCabe to talk about drought in the Western United States, along with some other interesting and surprising drought info. (For example, did you know that drought in the West and hurricanes in the Atlantic might be connected?)

Tomorrow we’ll bring you part two of this series, in which we’ll talk with a couple USGS scientists about drought in the Southeast, so stay tuned.
